As your Delegate, I’m committed to focusing on these priorities to help improve the lives of all Virginians.
Creating a Family-First Economy

Every single Virginian has a right to high quality healthcare, affordable childcare, paid family leave, good job opportunities, and a livable minimum wage.
I have dedicated my career to ensuring all Americans have access to the skills, training, and credentials they need to reach their full potential. I’m committed to ensuring Virginians have opportunities to secure good jobs—with strong pay, solid benefits, and clear paths for career growth.
Additionally, I continue to be a standard-bearer for the right of all hard-working Virginians, including our government employees to collectively bargain. Every worker deserves a seat at the table to bargain for fair wages and working conditions.
As a working mom, I understand the high cost of childcare, and I am proud we have pushed to increase 4,000 childcare slots for vulnerable families.
I have also worked to protect Virginians’ access to quality, affordable health care. I proudly fought for Medicaid expansion and now more than 700,000 Virginians have life saving health coverage. In our community, nearly 1 in 5 people rely on Medicaid for healthcare.
Ensuring a World-Class Education for All

As a mom of five, I know first hand that we need to ensure all children in Virginia get a high-quality public education so they can thrive and compete. As Delegate, I have fought for and passed legislation to invest in our public school system and raise teacher pay.
I am committed to advancing accessibility and supporting students with disabilities in our schools. I’ve worked to ensure all students can access the technology they need to learn and educators have the resources to communicate with every student. I will always work to break down barriers and create an inclusive, equitable learning environment for every child.
Additionally, I fought for increased investment in higher education, more funding for student financial aid, historic investments in our public school systems, and to make sure all our kids have the support they need to thrive and receive a world-class academic experience.
Building Strong and Safe Communities

At a time when the most fundamental elements of our democracy are being challenged, I am committed to protecting the cornerstones of our democracy–including the right of every eligible citizen to exercise their right to vote. I am proud to have fought for legislation to expand language access at the polls, create a 45-day early voting period, and to allow same-day and automatic registration.
Gun violence is the #1 killer of children Virginia. In the House of Delegates, we proudly passed a red-flag law, expanded background checks, and allowed law enforcement more time to complete those critical checks. I continue to push for gun-sense legislation because parents should not have to worry if their kids will be safe when they send them to school or when they go outside to play.
I also believe we must take action to not only protect Virginia’s natural heritage and resources, but protect the future of our planet from climate change. In the Virginia legislature, we have made our state a leader in renewable energy through the passage of the Virginia Clean Economy Act, bills to reduce pollution, and ensure healthy waterways.
Strong communities also means the right of every Virginian to privacy and self determination. I support enshrining the right to enshrine reproductive healthcare in Virginia’s Constitution. Reproductive freedom protects Virginia’s access to safe and legal abortions, contraceptives, and fertility treatments. I will always fight for a woman’s right to make the best decision for her health and her family with her doctor.
Honoring Veterans and Military Families

Virginia is home to one of the largest communities of active-duty service members, veterans, and military families in the nation—especially here in Northern Virginia. I will always stand with our military community to ensure they receive the support and respect they deserve.
I have helped secure funding to expand career opportunities for veterans by supporting programs that prepare them to become K–12 teachers, easing their transition to civilian life while also addressing teacher shortages in our schools.
I championed efforts to protect military families from discrimination in housing, employment, and public accommodations—and Virginia became the first state in the nation to do so. I’ve also introduced a constitutional amendment to provide tax relief to surviving spouses of service members killed in the line of duty, recognizing their sacrifice and helping them stay in their homes.
I am committed to delivering results that honor the service and sacrifice of our active duty military members, military families, and veterans.
