 Neighbors in the 42nd District,

I wanted to share updates from Governor Northam and state agencies about additional steps Virginia is taking to limit the spread of the
coronavirus disease of 2019 (COVID-19).

Thank you to everyone for all you are doing to help our community address this public health crisis. As always, please contact me if you have any questions or concerns. You can reach my office by phone at 703.828.7173 or email at DelKTran@house.virginia.gov. I am also regularly updating my Coronavirus Resource page to provide you with information about how our state is addressing the COVID-19 pandemic.

Best, Kathy

Day Care Centers

Governor Northam has directed day care centers to limit their classrooms to 10 people, including teachers. Day care centers are also
recommended to practice staggered recess and feed children in their individual classrooms.

Support for Small Businesses

Virginia has applied for the federal Economic Injury Disaster Sloan Program, available through the United States Small Business Administration. Once approved, Virginia’s small businesses will be able to receive assistance.

Updated Information about Department of Motor Vehicles

Please note updated information from yesterday: The DMV announced a 60-day extension for licenses and identification cards that expire March 15 - May 15 and for car registrations that expire in March and April. While the DMV offices are closed, to the extent possible, the DMV urges everyone to use the online services to renew these documents.
